Abstract

Symbolic poetic language is characterized by the richness of its expressive resources and the distinctiveness of its semantic structure, as it is closely associated with inspiration as a creative experience that transcends the poet’s immediate consciousness and relates to both a vision of the world and anticipations of the future. This language emerges from a dynamic interaction between the components of poetic discourse and its affective dimensions, while maintaining a suggestive quality with metaphysical extensions that enrich its meanings and deepen its interpretive horizons.
It is also observed that the thematic content of symbolic poetic language often precedes its structural formation within the text. However, as poetic experience matures and enters the realm of artistic construction, these contents undergo processes of reconstruction and renewal that contribute to the development of their structure and protect them from trivialization and exhaustion, thereby ensuring their vitality and continued interaction with diverse contexts.
Within this framework, the present study seeks to explore the relationship between symbolic poetic language and the concept of inspiration by defining this concept and clarifying its nature, as well as examining its connection to poetic competence. The study adopts a descriptive methodology based on analysis and induction in order to address a set of questions related to the nature of this relationship and its linguistic and critical dimensions.
